Diet for breastfeeding mothers: 5 recipes for healthy soups


At first glance it seems that with such large restrictions in products for breastfeeding, nothing can prepare. But it is necessary to connect the imagination, and menus for the nursing mother is ready! Products: lean beef, potatoes, zucchini, cauliflower, beets, carrots, onions, garlic, Bay leaf, sea salt.

Method of preparation

  • Beef put in a pot and fill with water. The water should completely cover the meat. Put on the fire.
  • After two minutes of boiling drain the water and pour new. Boil in fresh water about a half hour.
  • Over this time, prepare the vegetables. Beets cut into strips, onions and potato cubes, carrots grate on a grater, cabbage disassemble on inflorescences. If the small zucchini, cut into slices, if large — diced.
  • When the meat is cooked, add to soup, all the vegetables, except the zucchini (it cooks faster, so add it last). If you coarsely cut up the beets, you can add a few minutes earlier.
  • Cook on very low heat to keep more nutrients: this is very important when diet for nursing mothers.
  • 5 minutes until cooked add salt, Bay leaf and crushed garlic. Bay leaf during lactation can be used if a long time not to leave in the soup. So as soon as the soup will be infused, it is better to remove.
  • Ready soup serve with sour cream!

    Products: fish — salmon, haddock, cod (take less allergenic white fish), potatoes, carrots, onions, 1 tablespoon of semolina (for caviar), sea salt.

    Method of preparation

  • Clean fish from the scales as much as possible from the bones. Boil until cooked and remove from pan. If the soup starter, filter it.
  • Add to the broth the chopped vegetables and 1 tablespoon of semolina and continue to cook.
  • At the end of cooking salt, put the Bay leaf and the fish. Don’t forget to pull out the Bay leaf.
  • The dumpling soup from chicken or Turkey

    Products: poultry meat, potatoes, carrots, onions, 1 egg, 50 ml milk 5-6 tablespoons flour, Bay leaf, sea salt.

    Method of preparation

  • Boil the meat. Give preference to white meat, i.e. breast without skin. Skim off the foam.
  • Add roughly chopped potatoes, a bit of grated carrots and onions.
  • Make the dough for dumplings: mix the egg, milk, salt and flour. The dough should get thicker than sour cream, but not steep. If turned too thick, add a little water or milk.
  • Prepare the dumplings: take a teaspoon, dip in cold water and scoops the dough for about a half spoon. The dough should fall off. If you have not got the hang of it, you can use the second spoon. Keep in mind that gnocchi in the boiling process, the increase in volume. As the time for preparing the dumplings takes 5-10 minutes, start to put it in when the vegetables are still slightly damp, so as not to overcook them.
  • After you finish forming the gnocchi, wait another 5 minutes to the last well’s roasted. Add Bay leaf and salt. The finished gnocchi should float to the surface of the soup.
  • Remove the soup from heat and remove Bay leaf.
  • Soup with macaroni and cheese

    When diet for nursing moms, this soup can be prepared without meat. But it will be especially tasty if you make it from chicken ventricles and hearts.

    Products: chicken gizzards and hearts, pasta, potatoes, carrots, onions, cheese, sea salt.

    Method of preparation

  • Boil chicken offal until tender about an hour and a half depending on the age of the bird. 15 minutes before ready add the vegetables.
  • Pasta is better to boil in separate pan. But, as a rule, the time for cooking at the young mom very little, so it does not matter if you are cooking the pasta in the same pot. Take small pasta (such as “stars”). If you want big, then take the ones that will not stretch and will not lose shape.
  • Cheese is better to take solid. If you have found a processed cheese with good composition, you can use it. Cheese grate on a fine grater and pour gradually into the pot, promoseven well to avoid lumps. Cheese should completely dissolve.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Ready soup serve with black crackers.
  • Soup with meatballs and rice

    Products: beef (you can mix several types of meat — beef, lean pork, Turkey or rabbit), rice, potatoes, carrots, onion, garlic, Bay leaf, sea salt.

    Method of preparation

  • In boiling water, put washed rice.
  • While the rice is cooking, take the beef: salt it, add a little onion and garlic.
  • Formed meatballs the size of a walnut. To meatballs creamier, you can add the stuffing bread or boiled rice (in this case, the broth, the rice is not necessary to add).
  • After 10 minutes of cooking rice add the vegetables and a meatball. Do not stir so as not to spoil the shape of meatballs.
  • 5 minutes until cooked sprinkle with salt and add the Bay leaves.
  • In conclusion, we note that regular consumption of soups (with the exception of the mucous soups) prevents the occurrence of constipation that breastfeeding is an important issue. And drinking cups of hot soup or broth for 10-15 minutes before feeding causes a rush of milk, which is also important for nutrition during breastfeeding.
